Clear Aligners
Invisalign, Invisalign Teen, Spark and 3M Clarity aligners are all modalities that Dr. Gelb enjoys using to align your teeth and correct your bite while using clear aligners or trays instead of braces. Advances in the properties of the plastics have allowed us to correct more types of cases with aligners. Each tray will guide your teeth into the sequential next step towards better alignment. Early Treatment
An early orthodontic screening at Gelb Orthodontics is one of the most important things you can do for your child’s future skeletal facial structure and teeth. We are able to diagnose and treat underbites, crossbites, ectopic eruption of teeth and missing teeth. If skeletal problems are left untreated, they may lead to more complicated treatments in the future. In the right cases, early treatment can prevent the need for surgical orthodontics or the removal of adult teeth for dental crowding in the future.

Clear Braces
Clear braces are an excellent choice for patients who would like an esthetic treatment option without the need of maintaining a schedule of wearing their clear aligners or for severe cases that may not qualify for clear aligner treatment. The Damon clear braces that we use at Gelb Orthodontics are made from porcelain and do not stain.

Retention
Once we have aligned the teeth and corrected the bite, retainers are worn to hold the teeth in their current position so that they do not move. Fixed retainers, that are bonded behind the teeth, may also be used in conjunction with clear night time retainers to provide you with a lifetime of amazing smiles to come. Retainers are important to prevent movement of your teeth after treatment. At Gelb Orthodontics we 3D print our retainers so that the fit is excellent, the retainers are comfortable and the teeth stay straight. With care to not damage or lose your retainers, your retainers can last many years. If you should need a new set, please contact our office as soon as possible so that we can have a new pair made for you.

Surgical orthodontics helps patients improve their bites, though it can also help with other aesthetic concerns, such as facial structure and symmetry. Surgery can only be completed after the jaw is finished growing. This typically happens by age sixteen for females and age eighteen for males.
